Background
Sharon has over 25 years of diversified experience in the engineering, creative arts and education fields. She started as a Design Engineer in 1996 but readily took on added responsibilities within the design-and-build company in claims and contracts during the Asian financial crisis of 1997-1999. She progressed to become the Quality Manager, spearheading the company’s attainment of ISO9001 (2000) QMS. Working closely with both site operations and office administration, she planned and conducted all internal training and established proper documentation pertaining to the QMS. With a passion in dance since young, Sharon is a UK qualified dance instructor and has taught dance to multinational companies as part of their staff recreational activity. By the grace of God, she was given two scholarships to pursue her MSc and PhD in Engineering, publishing three technical journal articles through her research. Within this timeframe, she also lectured at various universities. To remain an industry-relevant educator, she undertook additional project management work in engineering. Sharon uses a variety of creative and technical analogies in her workshops to help people learn and apply their new skills effectively.
