SM Syed Ali is an experienced educator and development professional currently working at PASAS Institute (Purchasing and Supply Singapore). He facilitates training and consultation for notable institutions such as SPRINGS SINGAPORE, WSG-Supply Chain Logistics Academy (SCALA), SMU Academy, and more. With over three decades of experience in key management roles in multinational manufacturing companies across Asia, Europe, and the USA, Syed transitioned to full-time training in SC Logistics Management and Leadership Programs in 2013, sharing his industrial expertise with ASEAN participants.

Since 2013, Syed has coached over 200 Ministry of Education (MOE) school programs on topics such as Effective Communication Skills, Team Building, Motivation & Servant Leadership, Exam Preparation, Mentoring, Social Etiquette, Study Skills, and Coding. He also develops WSG SkillsFuture Courseware and Training Materials, enhancing his contributions to para-counseling, mentoring, and career coaching within the ASEAN community. A dedicated community leader, Syed has volunteered since 2001, mentoring for the Yellow Ribbon Project and serving as a CPR-First Aider with CERT. He received a 20-year Appreciation Award from the Singapore Prime Minister's Office in 2019. Syed holds a Master of Science in Industrial & Organizational Psychology/HRM from the City University of New York, a Bachelor's Degree and Graduate Diploma in SCM Logistics from Curtin University, and a Diploma in Project Management from Cambridge University. He is ACTA Certified and a Career Advisory Practitioner, providing support for Singapore Government-initiated SkillsSG Professional Conversion Programs (PCP) and career advisory services.
